Moodle is the most popular LMS is the world. It is open source – which means you can set up and ‘own’ your own version of the LMS without being beholden to a developer who can hike their prices as they want or, worse still, may close their doors and leave you with no support at all. Moodle users have access to an international community who offer support and guidance and who work on improvements and bug fixes all the time. Moodle integrates with many third-party apps and it is enabled for mobile delivery. Dr Karen Deller will show the learner’s view of the Chartall instance of the LMS and discuss how it is enabled for Chartall’ s pedagogy. Chartall offers technology enhanced learning for a degree accredited by the CHE and numerous full and part qualifications accredited by BANKSETA, SERVICESSETA, ETDPSETA and FASSET.
