Moodle is a Learning Management System (LMS) critical to meeting the needs of today’s modern learner. In this session we will cover the basic features of Moodle and how it can be used.

Moodle was developed on pedagogical principles and provides a central learning hub to connect eLearning tools and simplify the teaching and learning process. Some of the features we will be covering are: course layouts, books, tracking progress, activities, resources, blocks and grading.

Proctorio is an online proctoring tool which allows a way for institutions to monitor the exam and test-takers, while completing an online assessment. Rather than labelling students “cheaters”, Proctorio provides exam recordings and suspicion ratings for each exam attempt using machine learning and facial recognition technology. The instructor decides whether an action is a violation of academic integrity. Exam settings are flexible and can vary from exam to exam depending on the instructor’s preference.
